Nissen 3801. - Agassiz IV, 312, 1. - First edition of the monography on shipworms,etc., which had caused great damages to ships and wooden constructions in harbours over centuries. - The two rep. coppers, as mentioned in Nissen are in coloured and in uncoloured state. - Foxed (especially at the beginning and the end and the plates), title and endpaper with old library stamps.
