The two dialogue partners are opponents of the barbary named Misobarbarus and the Greek Sophist Grunnius, who had been metamorphosed into a pig. - The title woodcut shows a Poeta Laureatus, who has a horse laden with books with him, as well as a pig standing on its hind legs wearing a pointed hat and a cape. - The last leaf with the printer's device lacking. - With an insignificant trace of worming in the white margin, first ll. slightly fingerstained, few ll. with small crease mark.

First edition of this rare satirical dialog against obscurantism. With woodcut on title. Later cardboards. - Lacking the last leaf with printer's device. Negligible wormhole in the white margin, first leaves with slight fingerstaining, few leaves with edgewear to corners.
