Erste Gesamtausgabe. Die schönen Ansichten zeigen u. a. Pera, Terapia, Tschiurluk, Stromboli, Ephesus, Latachia, Tortosa und Samos; zu Beginn mit der großen, gefalteten Ansicht von Konstantinopel. Luigi Mayer war von 1776 bis 1792 als Zeichner für die Britische Botschaft in Konstantinopel tätig.

EINBAND: Handgebundener hellbrauner Halblederband mit Rückenschild. 49 : 36 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit 71 kolorierten Aquatinta-Tafeln. - KOLLATION: 2 Bll., 32 S., 1 Bl. ("List of Plates"), 70 Bll. - ZUSTAND: Nur tlw. etwas stockfl. und leicht gebräunt, wenige kl. Randeinrisse (zumeist restauriert). Insgesamt schönes, breitrandiges Exemplar auf unbeschnittenem Papier mit datierten Wasserzeichen ("J. Whatman 1805-1809"). - PROVENIENZ: Dänische Privatsammlung.

Handbound half calf with gilt spine. - Only partially foxed and slightly browned, a few small marginal tears (mostly restored). Overall a fine, wide-margined copy on untrimmed paper.
