Der italienische Reisende und Wissenschaftler Giovanni Mariti (1736-1806) erstellte mit dem vorliegenden Werk eine vollständige Analyse über Weine, Trauben, Reben und Produktionstechniken. Er lebte sieben Jahre in Larnaka auf Zypern und wurde dort Honorarvizekonsul Großbritanniens. "Mariti's seven-year sojourn on the island enabled him to become familar with the subject" (Blackmer).
EINBAND: Späterer Pergamentband. 19,5 : 13 cm. - ILLUSTRATION: Mit gestochenem Titel, gestochener Kopfvignette und 4 Textholzschnitten. - KOLLATION: XVI, 127 S. - ZUSTAND: Teilweise mit rot verfärbten Wasserflecken, Titel hinterlegt.
