Not recorded by VD 17 and by the respective Baroque bibliographies, not recorded by Landwehr and Praz. - Presumably third edition, first published in 1670. - Very rare publication by the theologist and poet from Rostock, who was also the rector of the Rostock university and the city superintendent. "His sermons were famous, and his devotional Geistliche Erquickstunden were turned into a book of verses by the Shepherds of the Pegnitz. Müller himself was also a poet and loved to insert verses at the high points of his devotional writings. His extraordinarily rich and eventful life was cut short at the early age of forty-four." (Faber du Faur p. 131) - Somewhat stained, endpaper with ownership entry and a poem by an old hand. 1 clasp (of 2) removed.
