Sammlung von 43 eigenhändigen Briefen und Postkarten meist in Französisch. Paris u. a. 1965 bis 1988. Zus. ca. 50 S., die Briefe mit breitem weißen Rand. - Mit 20 eigenh. Umschlägen.
Umfangreiche Korrespondenz mit Roland Hänßel (1929-2005), dem Begründer der Stuttgarter manus presse.
Die Zusammenarbeit zwischen dem berühmten irischen Schriftsteller und dem jungen Verleger aus Stuttgart begann 1965 mit der Herausgabe von Becketts Akt ohne Worte I &II , mit Orig.-Graphik von HM Erhardt. Die mehr als 20 Jahre umfassende Korrespondenz behandelt die gemeinsam erstellten Werke, gesundheitliche Probleme (Beckett mußt sich Anfang der 70er Jahre einer Augenopertation unterziehen) u. a.
- ZUSTAND: Die Briefe seitlich gelocht (ohne Buchstabenverlust).
Collection of 43 autograph letters and cards signed, together with 20 autograph envelopes, by Samuel Beckett to publisher and founder of the "manus presse" in Stuttgart, Roland Hänssel (1929-2005). Their collaboration on editions of Becketts works illustrated with orig. prints by HM Erhardt, Max Ernst and others started in 1965. - Letters punched in the wide left margins (without loss of letters).
