Zischka p. 81. - This edition not in BM STC and Adams. - Fine Cologne edition of the multiple printed but still rare lexicon by Estienne (first edition Paris 1541), not to be confused with his famous dictionaries. - Slightly stained and browned, with isolated brown stains in the gutter, title and 1 l. stamped, endpapers and title with old entries. Binding rubbed and bumped, rear board slightly broken.
Scarce reference book by Estienne (not to be confused with his "Thesaurus"), containing historical and mythological names, cities, rivers, mountains etc. in alphabetical order. This edition not in BM STC and Adams. With woodcut printer's device on title. Contemp. blindpressed pigskin over wooden boards. - Slight staining and browning, few leaves with brownstain in the gutter, early inscriptions to title and endpapers. Binding rubbed, rear board cracking.
